Two major things before the main mast goes up: build the mast collar for the stays and make the shrouds. When we step the mast we’ll need some temporary lines to hold it up. We’ll hang several blocks from the mast collar to do this. Rolf is kind enough to have us back and help us weld the modifications to the donated collar. Just as I can watch Garrett chisel wood all day I can do the same watching Rolf weld. Garrett called it “stacking dimes,” the way he melts metal is truly an art form. I hope you all enjoy the extra slo-mos 🙂
