Ep34 Sight seeing in Gibraltar

We are settling in to La Linea with the Gibraltar rock on our door step, it never gets boring coming up on deck. With the rock in mind and Rebecca Birthday the next day, we hatch a plan to cross into Gib and see the sights it has to offer and of course celebrate Rebecca’s 11th birthday at the same time.
The day starts with a birthday breakfast of pancakes on the back of the boat and then on to the presents, which Bethany had the great idea of a treasure hunt. We then pack a bag and head for the Gibraltar boarder, which was not a problem at all walking across the runway. It did feel a bit weird and a first for all of us.
We had thought about walking up to the top to see the monkeys but with the temperature so high, we thought better of it and chose the cable car instead. Once on the top we were met by a pair of monkeys. There was a lot to see and do once we arrived off the cable car- more than we could fit in one day, so after a full day it was time to go back down to find somewhere to have a Birthday dinner. We found the perfect place and with a friendly waiter that really made it special he even managed to get a candle and a slice of cake, we sang happy birthday to her. Which Rebecca was mortified by and wanted to make a quick exit.
Then with the sun going down it was time to go back across the boarder into Spain and back to the boat. What a jam packed but lovely day.
