Ep39 We leave Formentera early one morning on a passage to Palma in Mallorca. The weather was being kind and we get to Palma just before night fall after several attempts at anchoring, we finally get it to hold.
The next day we go ashore to find the place where the dream of living on a sailing boat took flight.
It was on an all inclusive holiday to hotel Alua Palmanove bay were we put together the steps that we would have to take to make it work. Seeing the place brought back so many memories. We spent the rest of the day on the beach and looking around the shops. On the night we treat ourselves to a meal ashore which was a real treat for us.
Then at 5am the wind changed direction different to what had been forecast and we had no option but to move before it was to rough. We spent the next 5 days trying to hide from the wind and swell. In the end we went in to a marina and had a think about what we wanted from the trip. With the conversation that we had had with Bella in Formentera it was obvious that we were moving too fast and not giving ourselves enough time to rest with this in mind we hatch a plan to find a marina on the main land and go back to England for the winter.
