Ep51 A very rolly night In Saint Jean Cap Ferrat

Ep51 Rhumor has a great sail almost all the way to Saint Jean Cap Ferret. When we get there we are met by a nasty swell that wasn’t forecasted. We are sort of held between two swells, one main swell that is coming in from the west with the wind and the second swell from the east, which is coming straight into our anchorage. with the wind holding us stern to the swell we use a second anchor called a kedge anchor to hold the stern more inline with the swell but it is still a uncomfortable time. After having some dinner we are straight on to the next job, walking the dog and how to get ashore. We find a small jetty in a protected part of the bay and get the girls and the dog ashore and I go back to the boat because the kedge anchor cable keeps going slack and might loop around the rudder, which would damage it.
We didn’t need to worry because it held tight all night. In the morning we were up early to get out of the anchorage and on our way to Monaco.
Join us next time as we go to Monaco.
Thanks for watching from the crew of Rhumor.
