We leave Cadiz at 9 o’clock to head to the marina at Barbate with a good forecast and the tide with us we speed our way along the coast. The girls get stuck into their journaling, we have kept a diary of our travels since leaving North Shields and a great way for memory making. It’s a total turning point now with Rebecca, she’s getting her sea legs and really embracing sailing life. One of those moments when you think she would never overcome sea sickness and go down below and here she is doing her schooling.
Lets see how the Galley (kitchen) transforms from a total disaster with pots and food stuff all over to a clean and gleaming area after a lunchtime on passage. (Claire’s a clean freak)
During the journey to Barbate, we have a problem with the bottom pulley, meaning the alarm keeps going off. Once moored we check and diagnose that the crank oil seal is leaking and we need to change it. Luckily for us we know that our next port of call is Gibraltar and there will be chandlers near by to order and replace parts.
Not much time for exploring and didn’t get a chance to adventure round Barbate but also great boshing on and heading to our next destination.
Hope you enjoy watching us and make our day and give us a like and subscribe….or not being too pushy, even a share
