Nikki gets a wild hair to change the entire look of our sailboat cockpit by painting the cushions…that’s right, I said PAINT!

Nikki didn’t like the traditional look of the outdoor cushions on our new-to-us catamaran sailboat, so she looked into every option. Pay the pros a whopping $5k+ or buy the fabric and do it yourself for $1k+ Neither sounded like a good option for our budget and timeframe…so she turned to the internet. That’s where she learned about painting fabric.
Overall we think it turned out pretty awesome, especially considering the small amount of money and time that was required of us. If you want to know the paints, technique, see the before and after photos, and much more please click over to our website http://bit.ly/diy-paint-cushion
