The month of May… what a whirlwind! Now that the engine passes all tests we are back on track to leaving the dock asap. We had SO much to get done. It was so hard to share our decision to leave Swab in my sister’s care. He is happy and he is loved and that is the best thing. He is 11 now and getting on and off the boat is not as easy as it once was. It’s getting hard to travel with pets on a boat; so we were also looking to the future and know if he needed to be quarantined to check into a country that that would be torture for him and I’m not about to do that! While we begin the next chapter learning Rediviva’s personality, needs, and likes it would be extremely rough on Swab to be aboard. I could go on with all the reasons we came to the conclusion that we did but I miss him and it’s very hard to talk about. He’s my buddy and I think about him every day. My sister sends me updates which I think I’ll share from time to time. I can’t let this distract me from how awesome it is to be leaving the dock. The day that I thought would never come… comes next week!

See you then ๐Ÿ˜‰
