ENGINE REFIT: was it worth it? [LIVE Q&A] [RED SEAS]
We sailed across the Pacific Ocean last year and one of our engines blew up along the way. We thought that meant game over for us but you, our viewers and supporters, came to our rescue and we replaced both our old Yanmar engines with two brand new Nanni N4.50s. We did all the work ourselves without hauling out of the water, in the remote island of Tahiti in the South Pacific. We had plenty of challenges to overcome as we faced cyclones, customs battles and misalignment of our original engine beds but we eventually got everything connected up and running smoothly and now we're back on our adventurous way again as we set sail for the most remote corners of the earth.
