Prepare for an episode with lots of boat work! We’re back in the boatyard to do some work on RAN. We take her to Curacao Marine in Willemstad and after hauling out we spend a couple of days prepping and then painting new antifouling, changing the batteries and the anodes while melting away in the 35-40 C heat. We also prepare to leave RAN in storage for a few weeks as we’re taking off in an airplane!
We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built aluminium Beason 40, untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started to sail south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.
