Both Randi and I have always been fond of Bob Perry’s designs, and this Tayana 48 is no exception to that. This boat is beautifully designed for a couple or a small family to live aboard comfortably and sail the world. It’s also designed with performance in mind for those that like to sail!
At an asking price of $179,000 I believe this boat won’t last long and it’s proof that the dream of sailing the world on a big monohull can still be obtained affordably. It’s achievable for anyone willing to put the time and effort into saving that money or is willing to sell their house and retire onto a sailboat.
