Excited to explore Durres, this week we arrive to instantly face the Great Wall of Albania where Jackson needs his own elevator to exit the boat.

As we continue up the coast of Albania we meet an amazing family in Porto Palermo, whom educate us about the Kosovo war sharing their misfortunes of losing home

We found a bay and thought we would stop in for lunch but ended up staying a few nights to enjoy one of the best sunsets ever!

After checking into Albania and exploring Sarande, this week we head south to Ksamil Islands for a few nights to dodge some wind and swell.

We check out of Italy for our passage over to Albania, stopping over at a small greek island to shorten our passage. The next morning we set off from Orthonoi.

We decided the next day was the day to head off and cross from the boot to the heel of Italy as bad weather was approaching and we didn't have enough time...

We Leave the marina in Roccella Ionica after refueling, refilling our water tanks and getting alllllllllll the laundry done we continued our journey.

We begin navigating the south coast of Italy which is not popular for cruisers due to the lack of sheltered bays and marinas!

We spent an entire day around Naxos and then made the trek up the mountain to Taormina, it was such a hot day and we took the LONG way up!!

We say goodbye to Malta after 2 months of great memories and amazing people! Bittersweet to say goodbye, sad to go but excited for the next part of our journey!

On the morning we were set to leave the yacht club we accidentally get salt water in our fuel tank, which becomes an entire ordeal trying to sort out parts...

After an awesome overnight stay in Blue Lagoon, Comino Island/Malta we moved anchorages to avoid the crazy crowds of tourists and meet up with our friends.

We sail over to St Julians bay to meet up with Paul and Lucy overnight! Had a great time swimming, relaxing and enjoying some drinks!

We head down to the southern part of Malta to Ras Il-Fniek to a secluded bay! it was gorgeous and quiet with only a few other cruisers the first night!

After being charged triple of what we expected at the Grand Harbour Marina, we moved to the Royal Malta Yacht Club to a temporary pontoon!

The boat is almost ready to go and take out for our first excursion next week after we provision and change marinas with the help of our new friends.

We head to the grocery store and do a huge shop, get a few more boat jobs done, and start getting the boat ready for our first sail!

We still haven't been able to find the correct gas pipe for the stove to replace the old one with, so we take the ferry into Valletta for a little expedition.

Ryan organised to have a Bimini built so we can sit outside under shade comfortably and not burn his pale Scottish skin!

Our Gas lines for our stove needed replacing as they had expired back in 2012. Until we find the right part its Cheese and bread for us!!

In this video Ryan heads over to Malta a week early to finish his Med sailing Certification and to get the boat ready for us.
