We are now back on the boat in the Sea of Cortez and the boat work, upgrades, organizing and cleaning begin before we untie the dock lines and set sail again.

Our trip back home in Colorado allowed to order parts and spares in preparation to upgrade the boat and ready for another season and the great Pacific Crossing in the spring. There were luckily no hurricanes in the Sea of Cortez this summer, but it looks as if one happened on the inside of Evolias. There barely was any room for us to even sleep, stuff everywhere as Warren and I were working on some new upgrades for the boat.

Warren wanted to beef up the solar panels and new batteries to increase our power grid as well as the longevity of the batteries, which meant that he had a lot of work cut out for him. Rewiring and making more room for the panels, while I was busy reorganizing and organizing again the interior of the boat. After 2 years of being liveaboards, we have come to learn a lot of what works and what doesn’t so it was time to put all our upgrade ideas together.
