After 18 months sailing the Mediterranean, our EU VAT Temporary Admission clock finally ran out, so we’ve sailed to Tunisia to reset it.

After crossing 125 nautical miles from Sardinia to Bizerte and spending 8 days exploring Tunisia, it’s time to make the 25-hour passage back to Europe. But first, we need to clear Tunisian customs and the coast guard before setting sail across the Mediterranean.

We're heading towards Sicily, sailing overnight, battling light winds, dealing with seasickness and tackling a long offshore passage before finally reaching the beautiful island of Marettimo.

Our final destination is Trapani, Sicily, where we’ll attempt to officially re-enter the EU, check back into the Schengen Area and restart our 18-month EU VAT Temporary Admission period.
