SAILING FAMILY OVERWHELMING 72 hours with Tanzania's OLDEST TRIBE
Welcome back! If you are new here, we are a sailing family who have recently arrived in East Africa after crossing the Indian Ocean in our floating home. Today we find ourselves heading inland, across most of Northern Tanzania to the Lake Eyasi basin to spend an incredible, yet overwhelming three days with Tanzanias oldest tribe, the Datoga people. We are pinching ourselves that we're here in what can only be described as a David Attenborough type setting. As we join the tribes people in celebration for their traditional, sacred funeral ceremonies, called Bung'eda.
