Alone in the Wild: How 2,500 Civilians Saved this Wilderness
In the early 1980s, deep in Tasmania’s untouched wilderness, 1,200 ordinary people were arrested in a battle that divided the nation. We’ve just arrived at the Gordon River, a 172 km long river in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage listed area. Our goal is to head as far as we possibly can upstream to the Frankln River to find out why this protest against flooding the region was so important.
