We made it over to Whitehaven in Cumbia from the Isle of Man and we looked at The Rum Story (link below) which tells the story of Whitehaven, Antigua, rum and profits made on the slave trade.

The weather played merry havoc with us and we left Whitehaven in heavy, rolly seas with a westerly fetch when we wanted to go south. When we finally arrived at Liverpool the weather turned from calm, pleasant weather to a Force 7 gusting 8 so we had an unpleasant night waiting for the lock gate to open
