Are modern yachts to high tech and why is everything made so unnecessary complicated. Im showing you my work around solution building a very simple analoge system replacing computer that failed. Old school thinking and make things stupid simple, yet working just as good for 1/8 off the price. Yachts today are full of motherboards bluetooth wifi computers and controllers. Micro switches and sensors, all the things that you really don’t want onboard. Its fancy and super cool when it works, but countless hours of work to troubleshoot when it fails. And it do fail on a boat, this is the only guarantee a sailor have.

This is my final video from Martinique as Im setting sail west starting on my long sail (1300 nautical miles) SOLO. Next episode might be delayed as Im real time on my uploads. Its not much wind in the weather predictions, so estimated sailing time is around 7 days.
Thank you for waiting and for being around!

ABOUT THIS CHANNEL:
I`m sailing sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now.

Even though this is season 4 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. Also more than 10 years experience from Search and Rescue at sea in Norway.

PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS!
I’m just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don’t have the blueprint either. I’m not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don’t think I can learn new things I should go ashore.
