Sailing solo around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser - S/Y Be Free. Most of the time sailing single handed and occasionally with friends and other guests. Dreaming of crossing the Pacific singlehanded. Most of my life has been in the small coastal town Tønsberg, 95 km south of Oslo. With the national park at our doorsteps, and the Oslo fjord and Skagerak sea outside the windows, it was almost mandatory to own a boat. I´m almost raised in a sailboat and had my first by the age of 7. Not only did we spend 3 weeks every summer, and every weekend of my childhood, on the lean (Sailing) But my parents owned a boat factory, where they manufactured sailboats and smaller motorboats. So I think its fair to say I've been into sailing my whole life. MY LAST JOB Full time working for the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue, and almost 10 years as voluntary and skipper for the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue. Traveling in a world of COVID, is it even possible? It is, at least here in the Caribbean but it’s not always as easy. However, you need time and always look for options. Find out how and the reasons for my decisions and why I sailed nonstop from Carriacou to Martinique. Clearing in procedures and how it works today as my experience traveling between islands in the Caribbean.
Disclaimer: Remember nowadays things change rapidly due to COVID travel restrictions and rules and protocols may be subject to change shortly after this video was published. I therefore highly recommend reading up on destinations before you make your own decisions and plan your travel. There are some crazy stories out here of people who had really bad experiences trespassing borders and not having documents in good order. Freshly updated information is key to your success traveling nowadays.

Currently in the Caribbean after I had to return from Panama because of lockdown and closed canal stopping me from reaching the Pacific. I have not given up the Pacific dream and my goal is to transit Panama and head out the Pacific during 2021
