This is the final stage of our double engine refit as we replace our old Yanmar 4JH4E engines with brand new Nanni N4.50s. We have built our own fibreglass engine beds, aligned both engines and now we just need to connect up all the fuel and water hoses and install new consoles up at the helm. We are so close to the end of this project and we can't wait to turn the engines on and see if they work! Fingers crossed!

📖 Our Story 📖
We're Iain and Brioni [The Reds] a couple of redheaded Scots who sold everything we own and moved halfway round the world to buy a boat that we could call home. We have a habit of finding ourselves in the most unusual circumstances, but that’s what makes life interesting! We live in search of the most remote places to live and sail so hit subscribe and join us on this adventure!
One of the Yanmar engines on our Leopard 47 catamaran completely died on our Pacific crossing last year so we've been limping along for 11 months with only one. Now we're in Tahiti to remove both engines and replace them with brand new Nanni N4.50s. The extra challenge is that we're doing all the world ourselves, while the boat is still in the water, and it's cyclone season!
