We're on a quest to find a rare black pearl in French Polynesia! We sailed for two days to the very north of the Tuamotus atolls, to a place called Ahe where it is rumoured that oysters produce these unique Tahitian black pearls. We met some pearl farmers and visited their farm on a super unique polynesian mooring but when the weather changed we were forced to leave to save our boat from ending up on the reef.

Now we are more determined than ever to harvest our own black pearls and we think we've found just the man to teach us how to do it. Come with us to see how pearls are harvested and grafted into natural oysters here in the warm waters of the south pacific. And maybe, if we do it right, we'll be rich by the end of the process!
