After a gruelling month of preparing Nandji 2 ready for the big year of sailing, we are finally up to the point of Sailing! We wave goodbye to Thailand and check out of the country for the last time and begin the sail, first south to Langkawi and then WEST!
With the new rig on, this is our first test sail and after putting the sails back on, are greeted with a lovely breeze on our back quarter and get to really have some fun sailing! NEW RIG, NO REEF BABY!!

As they set their sights on new horizons and unfamiliar waters, there’s no denying the sense of excitement mixed with nostalgia that permeates this episode. No journey across the Indian Ocean would be complete without a few essential upgrades. Sailing Nandji shares their recent acquisition of a washing machine, which they’ve had in mind for years as living on a boat necessitates doing laundry. The process involved careful planning and measurement to ensure that it would fit within their limited space, ultimately deciding on a front-loader for better stability while sailing. Additionally, the hydrovane self-steering system was installed, serving as the final piece of the puzzle in transforming N2 into a robust ocean-crossing vessel.Provisioning and Medical Supplies
