In this episode we are a family at sea on our way to Thailand!
For the last few days we had been trying to make ground north through the West Sumatran islands towards the most north western tip of Indonesia to our clearance port Sabang. The weather has been terrible and with only a small window of nice weather before more expected bad weather comes, we have been persevering through some heavy seas, needing to turn around and hide away from weather, been boat bound in the mangroves with torrential rain and then finally sailed north from the island of Nias to Treasure island in the Banyak island group. With still a further 500 nautical miles to sail to reach our final destination of Thailand, the journey is just beginning!
