Welcome back aboard Moor R & R! Episode 20
In this episode, we say goodbye to the beautiful island of Scawfell and continue our journey further south to Percy Island, a place rich in sailing history and unforgettable memories.
We visit the legendary Percy Island Yacht Club (the Percy Hilton) and leave a little piece of Moor R & R behind in the hut — adding our memorabilia to the countless boats that have passed through before us. It’s a special moment and a reminder of how connected the sailing community truly is.
Behind the beach, we discover something completely unexpected — a network of quiet creeks that lead us deep into the mangroves. Exploring by paddle board, we stumble upon a breathtaking tree system that feels just like a Secret Everglades. Still, wild, and incredibly special, it’s one of those places that stops you in your tracks.
We then head toward Island Head Creek to try our luck crabbing… but the ocean has other plans, and our pots are raided before we get a chance 😅.
After the adventure, we move on to Port Clinton for a couple of days to rest and recharge before setting our sights on Great Keppel Island, where we’ll be spending Christmas.
