Favourite Reef Yet! First Spearfish… Straight to the BBQ! Sailing East Coast Australia Queensland
Welcome back aboard Moor R & R for this week's Adventure! Episode 47
We’re still exploring the incredible Mackay Reef, and we decide it’s time to get in the water and see what we can find beneath the surface.
Gary gets the spear out… and finally lands his first fish!
So, of course, there’s only one thing to do — fire up the BBQ and cook up our catch.
But our time at Mackay Reef is coming to an end, and it’s time to drop the buoy and move on to our next reef Pickersgill reef.
And wow… this one might just be my favourite reef so far!
It’s absolutely stunning, with a beautiful little sand cay and even a navigation marker standing right on the cay.
After having some fun exploring the reef and snorkelling in those incredible clear waters, the weather starts to change again.
With strong winds on the way, we need to find somewhere a little more protected.
So we pull up the anchor and make our way towards the Hope Islands.
Another beautiful part of our journey north — and another adventure waiting to unfold.
With beautiful islands, new adventures and a few surprises along the way, there’s plenty to discover.
