Not so Secret Beaches in Paradise - S03E18
We set out to explore two of La Maddalena National Park’s most iconic bays. The first is postcard-perfect but packed—Cala Corsica's crystal-clear turquoise waters are stunning, yet the shallow anchorage is shoulder‑to‑shoulder in high season. After squeezing in and sensing the chaos, we decide to lift anchor and leave.
A short hop brings us to a neighbouring bay that’s just as beautiful. Here the sand and granite cliffs frame a “saltwater swimming pool”, and we finally get to paddle ashore, swim, and unwind. As the day winds down, we cross back to Sardinia’s mainland. We tuck into a quieter anchorage near Palau to pick up groceries, tackle some chores, and prepare for the expected Mistral wind. It’s a reminder that even in paradise, finding space to breathe makes all the difference.
