Sailing the South of France you are competing with the Superyachts for space rather than the charter fleets like you would be in the Balearics in mid summer.
Saint Tropez, Cannes and all the other swanky places along the Cote d'Azur do retain a certain charm though. You get good food and, on the whole, anchoring is easier than on the Costa Brava and we are enjoying some lovely sailing along the coast.
