Sailing to a Private Anchorage, But the Anchor Windlass Fails!
In this video, we sail to a private anchorage, we catch a fish for dinner along the way, enjoy a sunset dinner, and break our anchor windlass.
We start by raising anchor, cleaning off all the eel grass, and set out on a 20 nautical mile sail to a private anchorage. The anchorage is located in a secluded cove and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The next morning we set off towards La Paz Mexico. With a broken windlass remote, we’ll have to figure out how to free fall the anchor. We eventually get the boat anchored and settle in for the night.
It taught that we need to have multiple ways of doing the same tasks on our sailing adventures.
