Sailing life: We almost hit a whale
On our last sail north, we almost hit a whale. It surfaced 10 feet on off of our port side. It was close enough that we got wet from his spray. We were also curious how far our VHF radio would transmit. We checked in with a friend every 5 miles to test out the range. Had a beautiful night sail listening to the whales breaching as we headed north to Puerto Penasco to haul out Hiraya for some bottom paint and other misc. boat projects.
