We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we sold everything we owned and saved money for 1,5 years while living aboard our 40-foot custom built aluminium sailboat. Then we untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016. After sailing half way around the world, we welcomed our daughter in the end of 2019 and bought a bigger boat (Najad 440) that we're now cruising on as a family. One of the songs that we used in this video has been blocked worldwide and we had to delete it to make the video available again. They also deleted the voice overs and our talking so sorry for no sound in the first few minutes (00:00-03:16).
We prepare RAN for the 490 Nm sail to the Madeira archipelago and get family visits from Sweden. We explore the fantastic Lisbon and walk up and down on the seven hills of the city. Johan gives you an insight in our navigation equipment aboard RAN since many of you have requested this. Enjoy!

So we moved in to our sailboat RAN, a one-off aluminium built Beason 40, and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started sailing south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds takes us.
