We arrived in Xabia, the coast of Spain, with a very strange sound coming from the main sail furler which meant Woody really had to crack on and get to work on it.
After spending a fair amount of time and energy taking it apart, we had to get all the spare parts ordered from England and shipped to our dear friends address in Javea ( Xabia). We were so grateful to be able to use their address because living on a sail boat, we do not have an address and this can make things very complicated.
Anyway, Woody hates doing lots of maintenance so while he spent the next 3 weeks doing maintenance and fixing the main sail furler, we decided to think about all the things that bothered us about living on a boat.

We're a UK family who have saved over many years to live the dream of travelling the world with our kids. We sold our belongings, closed our business and rented our house to buy a 20 year old sailboat .
