Join us as we set sail from Lombok to Borneo on our family sailing adventure across the Indonesian seas. What started as a routine passage quickly turned into one of our most challenging journeys yet.
The night was filled with countless fishing boats—so many that it was impossible to let the kids take watch. Just as we thought we had cleared the busy waters, an unexpected storm brewed on the horizon. We had anticipated some rough weather, but we never expected it to last as long as it did.
With quick decisions and steady sailing, we managed to adjust course and head north, escaping the storm’s main path without any damage to the boat or harm to ourselves. This passage reminded us just how unpredictable—and beautiful—the sea can be.
