We finally set off across the Atlantic ocean from the Canaries to South America. An estimated journey of 3 weeks to cover 2700nm.
Sailing offshore with 3 kids is no simple task, after making sure the boat is working and is well stocked up , we then have to make sure the kids are occupied and educated. Matt (our extra crew) is great to have aboard as he helps to plan the daily schedule and facilitate our exciting ‘theme of the day’ .We all do this while keeping our watches going , the cooking, washing up and even get time to get a weather forecast and update our position with predict wind and our iridiumgo.
We also have a few issues with water and the generator but whats life on the Mothership if we don’t get a few hiccups here and there!
