There is no way we were going to come to Suriname without taking our sailing boat as far into the Amazon as possible. Just in case we got stranded up river for too long, we extended our visas, refueled (with some rather dirty fuel) and set off with the current in our favour.
The first part of this journey was about visiting several plantations that were now turned into restaurants, resorts and even a museum.
