This week we’re visited by the coastguard to check we’re complying with Turkey’s strict Blue Card Scheme and more enjoyably.. by family from the UK who come sailing in Turkey with us! The kids have their birthday onboard so we visit an adventure play park in Marmaris while we have rigging and sails changed on our sailboat. When the maintenance and upgrades are complete we sail for Bodrum with a few stops on the way.
The Turkish coastline in beautiful but still not immune from the curse of plastic pollution. But we don’t let that spoil our fun with a hike in the hills (in unsuitable footware!) and onto the beach for nighttime camp fires!
