After making landfall in Lanzarote, we go exploring straight away to the largest nativity ever and the Timanfaya National Park to see how the volcano impacted the land and how hot the earth still is. To support the local economy, we decided to have a ride on the local camels, in the past, they would have been busy working with the farmers.
I met up with my good friend of more than 30 years who was paragliding on the island before heading further South to Playa Papagaya bay. We snorkelled down to the underwater sculpture museum and also tried to get on the beach which was more tricky then we imagined.
Finally, we headed off further South to Los Lobos island ( the island of Wolves) which was also quite a challenge to get onshore but we managed and also climbed the top of the volcano.
