I arrived in Tokyo to mark the end of one chapter—and the beginning of another.
After seven years of Pacific Solo, I’m stepping into Japan Solo.
But before I do, I’m reminded of something an old sailor told me when I first began.
Three simple pieces of advice.
Don’t fall overboard.
Stay calm.
And when the storm comes… remember—you chose this.
Those lessons carried me through years at sea.
And they still apply now.
