After a stop to the island Visitors Center we were armed with a BEST THINGS TO DO in Bora Bora map and we set off with a plan for an amazing day. The best hike-to view, a majestic banyon tree, an amazing local parfume shop and boutique, homemade ice cream stand, the most beautiful beach and of course the best local lunch place to have a bite.
After chatting with the people at the Visit Bora Bora tourist stand our expectations were set to a level that we should have realized was unobtainable. Was it a total fail? No, not even close. We had a wonderful time exploring the south end of Bora Bora and we cooled off with a snorkel surrounded by curious fish.
For our next adventure we’ll keep our expectations at a normal level, that way we’ll be pleasantly surprised no matter what we see.
BTW – YES it was really, really hot and humid. I’ve no idea why we chose the hottest day to have an island land adventure! Haha.
