How to fly a Phantom 3 Professional drone from a Sailboat

A lot of people wondered how I did my droneshots from my “Solo sailing to Shetland” trilogy videoes. Here is how I do it 🙂 I fly it and steer it from my boat. The easy part is lift off, the hard part is landing.

I would not recomend doing this from a boat before you have sufficient training on land. Then try it on flat water, then later in waves. In waves just the slightest mismanouver can result in losing the drone, so its all on your own risk!
