Join us as we continue exploring the magical Amami Islands in Japan. Our adventure takes us by e-bikes to one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen - soft white sand, crystal clear blue water and vibrant coral filled with colourful fish. Margy calls it her perfect day in the most perfect spot with an icecream shop to top it off - Mellow Cafe.
Along the way, we meet the warmest locals, including Rina the lovely lady at the Mellow Cafe, who showed us her garden, chooks and introduced us to her 86 year old neighbour tending her orchard. Next day we discover a secret waterfall and swimming hole. And then we meet up with Matt from Amami Adventures for more laughs, waterfalls and rainforest exploring. A big highlight was visiting the traditional silk weaving and mud dying workshop, where Margy tie dyed her linen clothes in the pure mud and natural plant dyes with the help of an amazing instructor. The result was beautiful and it was an unforgetable day. This episode is full of natural beauty, cultural experiences and the incredible kindness of the Amami people.
