A couple of weeks ago we made a last minute decision to sail to Statia. This hidden gem never made it on our list of islands that we would sail to while in the Eastern Caribbean, we honestly didn’t know it existed. So as you can imagine, we hadn’t done much research on what there was to see or do here.
Statia is 8.1 square miles and could fit inside Disney World 5 times. So we were surprised to find out that it’s home to more historical artifacts per square meter than any other country in the world. And when you are walking around town you can see it EVERYWHERE, even down to finding artifacts along our morning walks.
