Today we made the decision that we are going to start drinking the ocean. And that means turning saltwater into freshwater with the help of a watermaker!

We make room for 1350ah of Lithium before shoehorning them into the bilge. Lots of near toe smashing and back breaking hip twisting lifting and they are in.

This has been a one of the most memorable weeks of our lives. Getting to meet so many friends at the Annapolis Boat Show, literally had us in tears!

There's nothing like busting out the grinder to bust through a big project. We decided to make the leap to LiFePO4 batteries and they needed a place to go.

Well, we got our behind's kicked by New England winter! Our boat (and ourselves) are not equipped for such conditions. We are lucky enough to have a yard!

Let's do a bit of a tour of the boat. We go fore to aft and point out all the things we need to fix on the boat, and all the things we just want to fix or add.

The final survey is complete, and we passed! He had very little to comment on, only a handful of things to correct and none of them major. Lots of hose clamps

The repairs are finished and we think we are ready. Our surveyor is coming in the morning and we are in a rushed panic to get everything ready.

Well here it is, WITH SAILS installed! We finally hoist the sails and take a look at what we've accomplished.

Well, after 4 months of delays, it's finally time to get the mast stepped! The weather is cold, and it even starts SNOWING while they climb the mast...

Our freshly fixed boat manages to runs aground sitting in its slip, we get our mast hauled to a different yard, and we get the interior of the boat picked up..

It's time we get all the gel coat and fiberglass dust out of the boat so we can move in! The dust got EVERYWHERE but with an air compressor, a lot of rags..

We're pushing towards becoming a sailboat again and turning this now floating boat into our home. Every panel, screw, bolt feels like a win and we're loving it.

New beginning, here we come.

It's Launch Day! We've spent the past many months sanding, grinding, glassing, painting, sweating, crying, and lots of laughing...all to get to today.

It's the final days before we launch. Dana and Lou come to help. Brett gets home from a work trip and we wind up in the air.

Our bilge has been completely rebuilt. And now it's time to use whatever it takes to make it smooth. Fairing, sanding, painting, flow coat? peel ply? Who knows.

WE DID IT!! With that last bit of fiberglass we have completely finished the repairs of our salvage yacht! Cleaning, fairing, painting, and reassembling to do.

Jade has to finish sanding off the old bottom paint before painting all 50 feet of boat by herself. There's a first time for everything!

Pressure washing helped, but it's time to get to work with some sanders, scrapers, paint stripper, oh and we even try an air compressor and soda blaster (lol).
