I bought a lovely Mirage 28 which I recently sailed round the South of the UK (check the short series of 13 videos April to May 2017) to a traditional boatyard in Kent for a refit prior to taking her off to venture somewhere warmer. Quick update on what will be happening next year. Plus, I did a vacuum balance on the Superdream's carburettors. I had actually put them together wrong about 650 miles ago. I'm surprised they were working at all.

Turned out that the 'engineer' who replaced the exhaust elbows before I bought the boats had used standard jubilee clips rather than proper exhaust clamps - and not tightened them properly. Every time the engine was on it was pumping water into the bilge.
