Why do projects on a boat take so long?
Because to get to the thing you actually want to work on, you have to fix all of the inter-connected paraphernalia as well 🤪
It's like that song you learned about the human skeleton as a child... (how the "knee bone's connected to the thigh bone...")
In our case, the latest manifestation of this fascinating and inevitable phenomenon has been the cupboard under the sink - A.K.A "the horrible cupboard".
(Trust me, every boat has one.)
Before laying down the new Corian countertop we had an opportunity to actually get to said horrible cupboard while the sink was pulled out.
Of course, what we found when we did was worse than expected.
Another rat's nest of wiring, obsolete pieces of ducting, corroded hoses, and an archaic plumbing system with a smell of its own.
(Be thankful YouTube doesn't include 'smellavision')
This is the story of how we fixed those problems, and had a little fun along the way.
It's a classic case of everything AND the kitchen sink.
Watch to the end if you want a laugh!!
