The weather can be one of the hardest parts of living aboard full time... and this week, it reminded us exactly why 🌊
After completing our 15-hour crossing from Italy to Corsica on our liveaboard sailboat, we found ourselves trapped at anchor as powerful Mistral winds swept across the Mediterranean, gusting at over 50 mph.
With another storm forecast on the way, we decided to make a break for it.
In this episode, we sail the length of Corsica on a challenging five-day journey, battling strong winds, rough seas and uncomfortable anchorages as we try to stay ahead of the weather and get to Sardinia to meet family! Along the way, we experience some incredible sailing conditions, with Rúna hitting speeds close to 10 knots under sail with winds reaching over 44 knots. Just another day of boat life.
