When you sail solo around the world, you can't afford to ignore your rig.
Before continuing my journey, I ask certified rigger Julien Cervello to inspect the rigging of Loveworkx in Mauritius.
Both running and standing rigging, fittings, turnbuckles, connections and all the details that keep the mast safely in the air need to be checked regularly — especially after thousands of nautical miles and several ocean crossings.
You don't want to discover a problem with your rig when you're 1,000 miles from land.
In this episode, Julien gives Loveworkx a thorough rigging check and we look at what I need to pay attention to as a solo sailor preparing for the next part of my journey.
