De bekende zeiler Olav Cox organiseerde samen digitale tijdschrift “Zilt” jarenlang de Solotoer. De uitgave van Zilt is gestopt en daarmee leek deze leuke toer opgehouden te bestaan.
De Kustzeilers blazen de tocht nieuw leven in. Daarbij blijven ze trouw aan het originele concept. Het is dus geen echte georganiseerde tocht. Wel bieden de Kustzeilers het traditionele eerste biertje aan voor alle solozeilers die zich op de laatste zaterdag in mei, dit jaar zaterdag 28 mei 2022, tijdig melden in de Butt & Oyster.
Namens de zeezeilcommissie wacht ik in Pin Mill de deelnemers op met Engels bier, een mooi aandenken en het beroemde blauwe schrift om je opmerkingen of verhalen in op te schrijven. En oh ja, ook om de rekening te betalen 😉.
