My name is James and I have recently untied the lines for good and set off to start a slow circumnavigation of this big beautiful world. After 4+ years of refitting my 1965 Alberg 30 she is finally ready for some serious sailing. In 2021 I completed my first solo ocean crossing from Los Angeles to Hawaii traveling 2300 nm and will be heading south in the summer of 2022, bound for the South Pacific. Season 4 | Episode 72 | Sailing Home Wing and Wing from Catalina Island.
On this episode we untie at Catalina Harbor and cruise by Adam and Kat’s boat on our way out into the Pacific Ocean heading for home.
With light winds forecasted I hanked on our Drifter sail and once we rounded West Point we were able to have a lovely sail home with the sun out and a New Year ahead of us.
