FRIDAY BONUS VIDEO: Testing my old PFD…. the results aren’t good!!!
Hello Friends,
This is a short little video I shot a while ago showing me test my 5 year old Automatic Inflatable PFD (Personal Floatation Device) from West Marine.
After jumping in the water a few seconds passed before it was activated and then once it inflated it only released from half of PFD leaving the other half still inside and the whole thing choking me. As I mention in the video, I have had this PFD since 2015 and never tested it or serviced it so I might be partially to blame for the results, I will for sure be breaking the velcro on my PFD’s once a year from now on to insure this doesn’t happen in an emergency.
