Episode #140 : A weekend trip to Avalon before the Pandemic Hit America
Hello Friends,
On this week’s episode we head back to Los Angeles after a very quick weekend at Avalon.
As soon as we departed Avalon the wind filled in, not sure if it were simply a land breeze or not we soon realized we had been blessed with perfect winds for a speedy passage home! In all my trips to Catalina Island this was the first time I managed to sail all the way home and not have to crank up the iron genny!
This was our first trip with our “new to us” full battened mainsail and our fresh clean bottom from the haul out and it all really paid off and gave us a wonderful sail home!
