Roam gets all new running rigging! Episode 17
How do you organize your boat project list? What takes priority? Often the priority list shifts when disaster strikes. On our passage from Isla Mujeres to Miami, our gennaker halyard ruptured. Due to that rupture, we lost the halyard, all associated rigging, the sail, and the bowsprit. To add insult to injury we brought an entire new set of running rigging with us to Guatemala when we purchased the boat, so this was entirely avoidable. Our examination of the lines led us to make the choice to hold off on replacing them. That was an expensive mistake. Since then, we've decided the sails aren't going back up until every line has been replaced. So here we go!
